Tree of Life (first attempt)
Well this is far from perfect but ok for a first attempt I think (practice makes perfect), I do love the Peridot stones & hopefully if I have another go it will look better (& you never know I might even be able to wear it).

Favourite Set of Jewellery so Far...
I made this necklace, earrings & ring with August's challenge pack from Bright Sparkle Beads (I think it's a great idea, you buy a bag of surprise goodies & make something with them for the chance to win a voucher). I didn't win but I do love these & I was really pleased that someone loved them as much as I do & bought the necklace & earrings (I kept the ring for myself cos it is my fav lol).
BMS Festival
I had a jewellery stall at the Body, Mind & Spirit Festival on August Bank Holiday Monday & what a wonderful day it was. My cousin Rae came along to help & it was great to catch up with her. It was also great to get feedback & see what styles people like. Here are a few photos - sorry they are not very good (I don't know why they are so grainy):

Cat Charm Bracelet
This is a charm bracelet for I made for my son Stuart's girlfriend Hannah for her birthday (she loves cats & her favourite colour is red). For me charm bracelets are very time consuming but it can be such fun choosing what charms, beads etc you want to use :)

Wedding Jewellery
My eldest son Craig got married to his fiancee Zoe at the weekend & the day was absolutely perfect. I was really pleased with my wedding outfit which was turquoise/teal (I will blog photos later) & I made this set of jewellery to go with it, made with freshwater pearls & shell.

Craft Fayre 14th July
My friend Duang & I did a craft fayre last Saturday (it was only my 2nd) & it was very slow (I think the fact that you had to pay 50p to get in & that the place was quite hard to find put people off lol). But I did sell a few things (more than I expected) & got some wonderful feedback from people :D
Sorry for the funny face, I was trying not to laugh |

Wire Wrapped Bracelet
Green Earrings
Green is my favourite colour so I made this earrings as I couldn't find any earrings I wanted to wear. I did a little coil on the bottom with the eye pins.
Black Labradorite Watch
This watch was made for a colleague at work for her daughter with black Labradorite (Labradorite is one of my favourite gemstones) & Haematite.
Work in Progress
My son is marrying his long-term girlfriend on 28th July & I was over the moon when she asked me to make her wedding jewellery. She wanted to keep it simple, just plain pearls & this is a photo of it being made (I haven't got a photo of the finished set but she didn't want the hearts on). I will post a photo of her wearing it after the wedding.
New Start...
Right! I'm going to hopefully blog some things I've been making & then try & keep fairly up-to-date (might be easier said than done though lol). I've just done my 2nd craft fayre & had such positive feedback it's really made me want to spend more time with my jewellery making/designing (just gotta find that time lol).
I made this when I went to the Stitch & Craft Show at Olympia in March - I now have a coiling gizmo but I've yet to use it |
This is a brooch I made for a very dear friend who is going through a rough time |
